யாழ்ப்பாண பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்கள் மீது நடத்தப்பட்ட தாக்குதல்கள் குறித்து இதுவரையில் உரிய விசாரணைகள் நடத்தப்படவில்லை என அனைத்து பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர் ஒன்றியத்தின் பேச்சாளர் சஞ்சீவ பண்டார தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
மாணவர்களின் பாதுகாப்பை உறுதிப்படுத்த அரசாங்கம் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டுமென அவர் கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளார்.
கடந்த மாதம் இரண்டு மாணவர்கள் கடுமையாக தாக்கப்பட்டதுடன் சில மாணவர்களுக்கு கொலை அச்சுறுத்தல் விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகக் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
யாழ்ப்பாண பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்கள் மீது நடத்தப்பட்ட தாக்குதல்கள் குறித்து இன்னமும் விசாரணை நடத்தப்படவில்லை என அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இந்த சம்பவம் குறித்து அரசாங்கம் மௌனம் காத்து வருவதாகக் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்களை பாதுகாப்பதற்கும், அவர்களின் உரிமைகளை உறுதிப்படுத்துவதற்கும் அரசாங்கம் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டுமெனவும் அது அரசாங்கத்தின் பொறுப்பாகும் எனவும் அவர் சுட்டிக்காட்டியுள்ளார்.
தமது பிரச்சினைகள் குறித்து பேசுவதற்கு பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்களுக்கு உரிமையற்ற நிலைமை காணப்படுகின்றது என அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இதே வேளை கடந்த சனி 06.11.2011 அன்று யாழ்ப்பாணப் பல்கலைக் கழக மாணவர்களின் பழைய மாணவர் ஒன்றியம் என்ற பெயரில் சில முன்னை நாள் மாணவர்கள் லண்டனில் ஒன்று கூடல் ஒன்றை நடத்தினர். யாழ்ப்பாணப் பல்கலைக் கழக மாணவர்கள் எதிர் நோக்கும் பாதுகாப்பற்ற சூழல் குறித்து விவாதிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று கோரிக்கை முன்வைக்கப்பட்ட போதும், இவ்வமைப்பின் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்கள் “அரசியல் பேச வேண்டாம்” என அதனை மறுத்துள்ளனர்.
இக்கருத்தை முன்வைத்தமையால் அவர்களுக்கு அரசியல் உள் நோக்கம் இருக்கலாம் என பரவலாகக் கருத்து நிலவுகிறது.

Oh dear!!!!!!What a joke…I think the Srilankan Tamils are cursed, thats why whatever they try to organise is always nipped at the bud by these trouble makers. After all these years of suffering, cant you all at least keep quite instead of spreading stories like this. Dear God…please help these sick minded people.
This is why people ask you to be transparent! There is a process for any social organisations1. Get together.2. Contact the current student council and the other bodies as well as the organisations in UOJ3. Find out their needs4. Discuss what can be done, productively from your end.If you do anything like this randomly, an organisation with “no politics zone” can be used even by mahinda rajapaksa
I sincerely think this is what they are planning to do eventually. But first, let them get the Association on the move first. From what I understood, they are trying to get as much members as possible to get started. Whatever assistance they are planning to provide to the current students, will be done through the proper channels.
All of the past students from the UOJ, should give their loyal support to this Association and healthy advices and positive suggestions.
One step at a time, is what is needed right now.
So…, if you think they are not transparent to an extent that you could mess up, you call them KP’s friend. What an inferior thought.

VIEWS ON UJOSA:
We all have our own rights to have different views on anything related to our tamils issue..As far as old students of UJ concern, firstly we all should have our UJOSA be active. Let this UJOSA get the momentum. please don’t be negative.
ISSUES and GOSSIPS:
Yes! We will have teething problems/ inItial procedural issues, but we all have the knowledge, experience, vision, and our history to support /HELP out future generations and overcome any hurdles and any negative agendas.We all have learnt enough. so nobody can mislead us. so please work together, contribute constructively to create a prominant association(UJOSA).
POLITICS: At this given moment Our aims and objectives should be mainly focused on our future student generation(மாணவ சமூகம்/சந்ததி ). We, “our org” shouldn’t involve in general politics of tamil eela tamils at this very early stage of our birth of UJOSA. Let’s our UJOSA’S growth and time decide to involve in politics of Tamil eela tamils or not.
BUT!!
ON STUDENT’S rights : We have the duty to raise our voices against any threat from any sources in any form or shape, and the responsibility to lend our hands to support our future student generation(மாணவ சமூகம்/சந்ததி).
We don’t want to see another attack form anyone on our மாணவ சமூகம்/சந்ததி.We should condemn any attacks on our students.
CONTRIBUTION:
We all have wealth of KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE,SKILLS, financial wealth or other useful assets to support our university students(
மாணவ சமூகம்/சந்ததி).

I would say sponsoring a poor student should be
last in this UJOSA’s priority list.This could be done by any wealthy corner shop owner, ie you don’t need to be educated or graduated to support financially.As a educated old student of UJ or other, I would like to see our
UJOSA should be able to create venues/arenas for the feeding ground of wider KNOWLEDGE,
EXPERIENCE,SKILLS,WHICH COULD BE EASILY DONE and would be very constructive for us and our future generations.
MY POINT IS DON’T STOP ONLY WITH SPONSORING POOR STUDENTS.THIS IS VERY MINIMAL.
பல்கலைக்கழகத்தை பள்ளிக்கூடமாகப் பார்த்து,படித்து,பட்டம் சுமக்கிற பாக்கியவான்களுக்கு!
விரிவுரைக் குறிப்புகளால் பட்டம் பெற்றவர்கள்,பல்கலைகழகம் என்பதை பள்ளிக்கூடம் ஆக்க முயல்வது,ஆரோக்கியமற்றது.
அதை விட நான்கு அடிமுட்டாள்கள்,ஒரு பல்கலைக்கழகத்திற்கு, உரிமை கோருவதும்,அரசியல் பேசாதே என்ற அரசியல் பேசுவதும்.அந்த பரமார்த்த குருக்களுக்கு பின்னால்,மட்டி,மடையன்,மிலேச்சன் என சீடர்கள் திரள்வதுவும் பஞ்சதந்திரக் கதைகள் அல்ல.கண்முன்னால் நடப்பதுவே.
எரிகிற விறகு கொள்ளியுடன் சிங்கள பௌத்த பேரினவாத ஆற்றின் ஆக்கிரோசத்தைக் கண்டவர்கள்,அணைந்த அதே விறகு கொள்ளியுடன் ஆறு கடக்கப் பார்க்கிறார்கள்.
இங்கே வந்து ஆங்கிலத்தில் கருத்தெழுதி,பெருஞ்சிந்தனையாளர்களாக காட்ட முற்படுபவர்கள்,உண்மைகளை,பெயர்களை எழுதும் உரமின்றி,
