ஜெயலலிதா முதலமைச்சர் பதவிக்குப் போட்டி போட்ட வேளையில் கருணாநிதியின் காட்டிக்கொடுப்பிற்கு எதிராக ஜெயலலிதாவை ஈழத் தாய் எனச் சித்தரித்தவர்கள் புலம் பெயர் குறும் தேசியவாத கோமாளிகள். ஆயிரமாயிரம் மக்களின் உயிர்களோடும் அவலங்களோடும் அரசியல் பேசும் இவர்கள் மத்தியிலுள்ள பிழைப்பு வாதிகள் ஒரு புறத்திலும் கோமாளிகள் மறு புறத்திலுமாக மக்களின் உரிமைப் போராட்டங்களுக்கு அடிப்படை எதிரியான ஜெயலலிதாவை ஆதரித்தனர். ஜெயலலிதா ஆட்சிக்கு வந்ததும் தமிழீழத்தை வாங்கிவிட்டதான குதூகலத்தில் வாழ்த்துக்களை அனுப்பினர். ஜெயலலிதா ஆட்யில் அமர்ந்து சரியாக ஒரு மாதத்துள் பரமக்குடியில் தாழ்த்தப்பட்ட மக்கள் மீதான தாக்குதலை நடத்த உத்தரவிட்டார். ஈழ அகதிகளின் முகாம்களில் பாதுகாப்புப் பலப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. மூவரின் தூக்குத்தண்டனைக்கு ஆதரவளித்தார்.
வாழ்த்துக்களை அனுப்பியவர்களும் ஆதரவளித்தவர்கள்களும் எதுவும் நடக்காதது போல் மௌனமாகினர். சோனியா காந்தி பிரிட்தானியாவிற்கு வந்த போது, அவரின் கண்களில் ஒளி தெரிவதாக உலகத் தமிழர் பேரவை அறிவித்தது. சோனியா காந்தி இலங்கையில் நடந்தது பயங்கரவாதத்திற்கு எதிரான போர் என்றதும் பேரவை மௌனமாகிவிட்டது. மக்களை மந்ததைகளாக்கும் இந்தக் குழுக்கள் உலகம் முழுவதும் போராடும் மக்கள் பகுதிகளிடமிருந்து ஈழத் தமிழர்களை அன்னியமாக்கி போராட்டத்தைத் தனிமைப்படுத்துகின்றனர். போராடும் நேர்மையான மக்கள் சக்திகளுக்கு ஈழத்தமிழர்களைச் சந்தர்ப்பவாதிகள், அரசியல் வியாபாரிகள் என்ற விம்பத்தை வழங்குகின்றனர்.
இப்போது கம்பபன் கழகம் புகழ் சி.வி.விக்னேஸ்வரனதும் தமிழ்த் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பினதும் தவணை முறை.
இதே உலகத் தமிழர் பேரவையும் நாடுகடந்த தமிழீழமும் விக்னேஸ்வரனுக்கு நிபந்தனையற்ற ஆதரவு வழங்குவாதாகத் தெரிவித்துள்ளன. தமிழ்த் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பிற்கு ‘ராஜபக்ச ஜனநாயகத்தின்’ கீழ் வாக்களிக்கக் கோரியுள்ளனர். மக்களின் வாழ்வோடும் உயிரோரும் விளையாடும் இவர்கள் பிழைப்புவாதிகளா அன்றி அப்பாவிகளா என்ற ஆய்வுகள் முக்கியமற்ற விவாதம்.
தேர்தலில் வெற்றி பெற முன்பதாகவே விக்னேஸ்வரனின் திருவிளையாடல்கள் இந்திய அரசின் மொழியைப் பேசுகின்றன. விக்னேஸ்வரன் ஆட்சிக்கு வந்ததும் இலங்கை இந்திய அரசுகளில் அடியாள் போல செயற்பட்டால் பிரித்தானியத் தமிழர் பேரவையும் நாடுகடந்த தமிழீழமும் அரசியலிலிருந்து ஒதுங்கிக்கொள்ளத் தயாரா? மக்களை மேலும் மேலும அவலத்தில் அமிழ்த்துவதற்காக அரசியலிலிருந்து இவர்கள் விலகிக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
தமிழர்களின் கொள்கை சிங்கை ஆரியச்சக்கரவர்த்திகளால் ஆயிரக்கான ஆண்டுகளாக ஆளப்பட்ட தனித்தமிழ் பேரரசான தாய்நாட்டை சிங்கை பேரரசினை தாம் ஆளவேணடும் என்பதே. அதனை செல்லுபடியற்ற அரசியற் சட்டத்தின் கீழ் நடக்கும் தேர்தலில் பெறமுடியாது. தெரிந்தும் தமிழ் கட்சிகளும் இயக்கங்களும் நம்பிய தமிழரை ஏமாற்றி வருகின்றன.

A former member of the LTTE peace negotiating team and now self-proclaimed prime minister of the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) Visvanathan Rudrakumaran says the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) must push for self-determination for the Tamils.
He says it is clear that the TNA will become victorious at the forthcoming Northern Provincial Council (PC) elections and through it send a message to the world that Tamils wish to be ruled by themselves.
“TNA has a duty to be faithful to every vote cast in this election and take the necessary steps to consolidate the Tamil Nation’s aspirations for freedom,” Rudrakumaran said in a statement today.
Just yesterday TNA Chief Ministerial Candidate C.V. Wigneswaran had said that the idea of a separate state had died with end of the LTTE.
He said the TNA never stood for a separate state and even now the party is targeting a solution within a united Sri Lanka.
However Rudrakumaran says the TGTE is committed to struggle for the creation of a free and sovereign State of Tamil Eelam through political and diplomatic means.
He said that the TGTE is of the firm conviction that the 13th Amendment as well as the idea of Provincial Councils had expired long ago.
“We cannot sustain hopes of winning over our rights from the existing State agencies through the mechanism of the PC or through other forms of struggle, even with the support of the International Community. The Eelam Tamil Nation could win over its rights only by liberating itself from the bondage of the Sri Lankan State. We believe that the TNA leadership is taking cognizance of this reality,” he said.
He says “it is incumbent upon the TNA to uphold the will of the people and be true and faithful to their desires, while being mindful of the enormous sacrifices that have been made already by the thousands of martyrs in the name of freedom for the Tamil people”. (Colombo Gazette)

KP said that some members of the Tamil diaspora including an organization known as the TGTE is not serious about Tamil issues.
A former top Sri Lankan rebel said Wednesday that he believes President Mahinda Rajapaksa can resolve the minority Tamil issue.
Speaking at a special press briefing in the former rebel town of Kilinochchi in the north of the country, former Tamil Tiger chief arms procurer Kumaran Pathmanathan said that Rajapaksa has the caliber to address the Tamil issue.
Pathmanathan was arrested in Malaysia in 2009 and detained in Sri Lanka before he was freed and allowed to operate a children’s home.
He said that some members of the Tamil diaspora including an organization known as the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) is not serious about Tamil issues.
TGTE is led by former LTTE member V. Rudrakumar and operates mainly from the United States.
“I started the TGTE but now they have shifted focus and have other agendas,” he said.
However, he noted that not all in the Diaspora are involved in the campaign against the government.
“Some people in the Diaspora are supporting me in my work to help the war affected people in the North,” he said.
He also said that the international community should not interfere in Sri Lankan affairs as the government can deal with issues in Sri Lanka.
Pathmanathan also accused the Tamil National Alliance (TNA), the main Tamil party in Sri Lanka, of looking at dividing the country using the Northern Provincial Council elections.
