இலங்கைத் தமிழர்களுக்கு சோவித் ஒன்றியத்தைப் பற்றித் தெரிந்திருக்கிறதோ என்னவோ ஏ.கே. 47 ஐப் பற்றி அறிந்திராமலிருக்க மாட்டார்கள். 80 களின் ஆரம்பத்தில் வடகிழக்கை ஆக்கிரமித்துக்கொண்ட ஏ.கே 47 ஒடுக்குமுறையாளர்களையும் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களையும் குறிபார்த்தது.
ஏ.கே 47 என்ற பெயர் கிள்ஸ்னிக்கோவின் தானியங்கி என்பதைக் குறிக்கும். உலகம் பாசிச முழுவதும் அரசுகள் மக்களைக் கொலைசெய்வதற்காகப் பயன்படுத்தும் இத் துப்பாக்கியைக் கண்டுபிடித்தவர் ரஷ்ய நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த மிக்கையில் கிளஸ்னிகோவ் என்பவர். இன்று – 23.12.2013- தனது 94 ஆவது வயதில் அவர் காலமானார். இரண்டாவது உலகப் போரின் இறுதி ஆண்டுகளில் ஏ.கே. 47 வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டது. 1946 ஆம் ஆண்டு அதன் முதலாவது பதிப்பு சோவியத் இராணுவத்தில் பரிசோதிக்கப்பட்டது. 1948 ஆம் ஆண்டு அது உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக சோவியத் இராணுவத்தால் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
1990 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஒரு நிகழ்வில் தனது மக்களின் பாதுகாப்பிற்காவே இந்த ஆயுதத்தைத் தான் தயாரித்ததாகவும் இன்று அது அரசியல் வாதிகளால் தவறாகப் பயன்படுத்தப்படுவதாகவும் தெரிவித்தார்.
கடந்தத ஆண்டு கிளாஸ்னிக்கோவ் என்ற பெயரைக் காப்புரிமை செய்துகொள்வதற்காக ஒரு ரஷ்ய வியாபார நிறுவனம் இவருக்கு மில்லியன் டொலர்களை சன்மானமாகத் தர முற்பட்ட போது அவர் அதனை நிராகரித்துவிட்டார்.தன் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதுமான உழைப்பும், அதன் விளைவுகளும் தன்னை உருவாக்கி, வளர்த்து, பராமரிக்கும் சமூகத்திற்குத்தான் சொந்தம், தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் தனக்கு அதன் மீது எந்த உரிமையும் இல்லை என்று சொல்லி விட்டிருக்கிறார். இன்றைய முதலாளித்துவ உலகப் பொருளாதாரத்தில், கலாஷ்னிகோவ் என்ற பெயரின் வணிக மதிப்பு $1000 கோடி .
கிளாஸ்னிக்கோவ் மரணித்திருக்கலாம் இன்னும் மிக நீண்டகாலத்திற்கு மக்கள் பற்றுள்ள இந்த மனிதனின் மனித நேயம் வாழும்.

In 1938, he was called up by the Red Army and his design skills were used to improve the effectiveness of weapons and equipment used by Soviet tank regiments.
He designed the machine gun after being asked by a fellow soldier why the Russians could not come up with a gun that would match the ones used by the Germans.
Work on the AK47 was completed in 1947, and two years later the gun was adopted by the Soviet army.
Kalashnikov continued working into his late 80s as chief designer at the Izhevsk firm that first built the AK-47.
He received many state honours, including the Order of Lenin and the Hero of Socialist Labour.
Kalashnikov refused to accept responsibility for the many people killed by his weapon, blaming the policies of other countries that acquired it.
However, pride in his invention was tempered with sadness at its use by criminals and child soldiers.
“It is painful for me to see when criminal elements of all kinds fire from my weapon,” Kalashnikov said in 2008.
