தமிழ்த் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பின் பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் சிறீதரனுக்கும் இலங்கை அரசின் திட்டமிட்ட சிங்களக் குடியேற்றவாசிகளுக்கும் இடையேயான ஒளிப்பதிவு ஒன்று வெளியாகியுள்ளது. சரளமாகத் தமிழ்ப் பேசும் சிங்கள மக்களுடனான உரையாடலில் ‘இலங்கை அரசு உங்களித் திட்டமிட்டுக் குடியேற்றி மக்களிடையேயான முரண்பாடுகளை ஆழப்படுத்தி மோதவிடுவார்கள்’ என்று கூறும் கருத்து வரவேற்க்கத்தக்கது. பௌத்த மயமாக்கலும் திட்டமிட்ட சிங்களக் குடியேற்றங்களும் இனக்கொலையின் வடுகள் ஆறாத வடக்குக் கிழக்கை புற்று நோய்போல அரித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றது. இடம்பெயர்ந்தவர்கள் மீள் குடியேறுதல் என்பது இனவாத நோக்கங்களுக்கு அப்பால் அங்கிகரக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்பது மட்டுமல்ல ஆதரிக்கவும் வேண்டும். அதே வேளை திட்டமிட்ட குடியேற்றங்களும் பௌத்த மயமாக்கலும் இனச்சுத்திகரிப்பே என்பது தமிழ் மக்கள் மத்தியில் வாக்குகளைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வதற்காக மட்டுமல்ல சிங்கள மக்கள் மத்தியில் விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காகவும் கூறப்பட வேண்டும். கருத்தியல் தளத்திலும் திட்டமிட்ட குடியேற்றங்களுக்கு எதிராக இனவாதம் கடந்த போராட்டம் முன்னெடுக்கப்படாவிட்டால் கிழக்கைப் போன்று வடக்கிலும் தமிழர்கள் சிறுபான்மை ஆக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
