இலங்கையின் வடக்கில் மக்கள் இலங்கை அரச பாசிசத்திற்கு எதிரான தமது உணர்வுகளை தமிழ்த் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பிற்கு எதிரான வாக்குகளாகத் தெரிவிதுள்ளனர். தென்னிலங்ககை இனவாதக் கட்சிகளான ஐக்கிய தேசியக் கட்சி, ஜே.வி.பி யும் அதிலிருந்து வெளியேறிய குழுக்கள், இலங்கை கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சி, லங்கா சமசமஜக் கட்சி போன்ற அனைத்து பாசிச ஆதரவாளர்களுக்கும் மக்கள் தமது தேவைகள் என்ன என்று கூறியுள்ளார்கள். தவிர, இலங்கை அரச ஆதரவு சாதிச் சங்கங்கள், துணைக் குழுக்கள் ஆகியவற்றின் முகங்களில் மக்கள் ஓங்கி அறைந்துள்ளனர்.
தேர்தல் முடிவின் பின்னர் விக்னேஸ்வரன் எதிர்பார்தபடியே முதலமைச்சராக ஏகமனதாகத் தெரிவானார்.
இக்கூட்டத்தில் தமிழ் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பின் சார்பில் வட மாகாணசபைக்கு தெரிவு செய்யபட்ட 28 உறுப்பினர்களும் கலந்து கொண்டு உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக திரு. சீ.வி..விக்னேஸ்வரன் அவர்களை வட மாகாண முதலமைச்சராக ஏகமனதாக தெரிவு செய்தார்கள்.
இக்கூட்டத்தில் தமிழ் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பின் தலைவர்களும், பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களுமான இரா. சம்பந்தன், மாவை சேனாதிராஜா, சரவணபவன், தர்மலிங்கம் சித்தார்த்தன், சுரேஸ் பிரேமச்சந்திரன், செல்வம் அடைக்கலநாதன், எம்.ஏ.சுமந்திரன், சிறீதரன், சிவசக்தி ஆனந்தன், விநோ நோகராலிங்கம் ஆகியோர் உரையாற்றினார்கள்.
தேர்தல் வெற்றி வெற்றி என்பது மக்கள் எதிர்ப்புணர்வை வெளிப்படுத்துவதற்கான வடிகாலாகப் பயன்பட்டிருக்கிறது. விக்னேஸ்வரனுக்கும் கூட்டமைப்பிற்கும் அது பதவிகளை வழங்கியிருக்கிறது.

Finalising the provincial minister posts however has turned into a difficult exercise due to demands by the TNA constituent parties on the one hand and the necessity of satisfying various regional, religious, caste and gender based requests on the other.
The TNA currently consists of five political parties namely the Ilankai Thamil Arasu Katchi (ITAK),Tamil United Liberation front (TULF), Eelam Peoples Revolutionary Liberation Front(EPRLF),Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO) and the Peoples Liberation Organization of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE). All parties contested as the TNA under the house symbol of the ITAK.
The TNA polled 353,595 valid votes altogether in the Northern Provincial poll and obtained 30 including 2 bonus seats of the 38 seats in the Council. District wise the TNA break down is Jaffna-14;Kilinochchi-03;Mullaitheevu -04;Vavuniya-04 and Mannar -03.
Those elected from the five districts are from all four constituent parties except the TULF whose nominees including ts leader Veerasingham Anandasangaree lost. The ITAK has returned the most number of winners but the other three party candidates have also won.
Though CV Wigneswaran is of the ITAK all other constituents also endorsed him as the common chief ministerial candidate.The other constituents are now clamouring for one representative each to be accommodated on the four member board of ministers.
EPRLF leader Premachandran alias Suresh is demanding a ministerial portfolio for his brother Sarveswaran who contested and won from Jaffna. Former TELO parliamentarian MK Sivajilingam who also won from Jaffna is staking a claim for a ministerial berth. ITAK secretary-general and TNA strong man “Mavai” Senathirajah wants his loyalist and former Jaffna municipal commissioner CVK Sivagnanam as an ITAK nominated nominee. Former MP and PLOTE leadr Dharmalingam Siddharthan who came third in Jaffna on the preference vote count is also a ministerial contender.
The TNA is also thinking of nominating defeated TULF president Veerasingham Anandasangaree to the other bonus seat and appoint the veteran politician as chairman. While TNA leader Sampanthan and Chief minister elect Wigneswaran are supportive of Sangaree it is being opposed bitterly by TNA parliamentarians Senathirajah and Sritharan. In a bid to prevent Anandasangaree being nominated Sritharan is attempting to nominate Ms. Vinubananthakumari Sethuratnam who lost in Kilinochchi as bonus seat MP on the basis that more women representation is needed.

TNA’s Two Bonus Seats: To A Muslim And To A Woman And Not To Anandasangari
It is reported that V. Anandasangaree who had unsuccessfully contested the elections from Kilinochchi where he was once MP, has sent feelers to the TNA… about the option of entering the council on a bonus seat.
However it is unlikely the Tamil veteran politician will be successful in that endeavour, sources say.
“Other reports say that there is now a tussle for the 4 ministerships. The Health portfolio, it seems decided, will go to Dr. Sathiamoorthy who was elected from Vavuniya. Others hope to be appointed to one of the nominated seats and from that to the ministership. However some have offered the opinion that only those who contested and failed could be so appointed while others point to there being no such restriction for central ministerships. ஆனந்தசங்கரி தேர்தலில் தோற்ற படியால் இனி அவர் மாகாணசபையில் எந்தப்பதவியையும் ஏற்பது அழகில்லை.அவர் பதவி எதிலும் இல்லாமல் மக்களுக்கு சேவை செய்வது நல்லது. இந்த தேர்தலில் தோற்ற எவருமே பின்கதவால் பதவிக்கு வருவது ஆரோக்கியமான அரசியல் அல்ல.
ஆனந்தசங்கரி புலிகளின் மேல் இருந்த வெறுப்பில் ராஜபக்சவின் ஆலோசகராகச் செயற்பட்டார் அவருக்கு உண்மையில் ராஜபக்ஷதான் எதாவ து (எலும்புத்துண்டு) பாராளுமன்ற ஆசனம் கொடுத்திருக்க வேண்டும். இது ராஜபக்ஸ குடும்பம் அவருக்குச் செய்த துரோகம். ஆனால் கிளிநொச்சி மக்கள் அவரைத் தெரிவுசெய்து தமிழ் இனத்திற்குத் துரோகம் செய்ய விரும்பவில்லை .
கிளிநொச்சித் தமிழர்களுக்கு யாரை எங்கே வைப்பது — சங்கரிக்கு எது செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பது தெளிவாகத் தெரியும் அவர்களுக்கு எமது நன்றிகள்
ஆனந்த சங்கரியாருக்கு ஒரு போனஸ் ஆசனத்தை கொடுக்க நானும் விரும்புகிறேன். தமிழ் தேசியம் என்பது அனைவரையும் அரவணைத்துச் செல்லும் பண்பு கொண்டது என்பதை எடுத்து காட்ட மட்டுமே அவருக்கு ஒரு ஆசனம் வழங்கவேண்டும் எனக் கோருகிறேன். மற்றும்படி சங்கரியார் எந்த வகையிலும் முற் போக்கு சிந்தனை உள்ளவர் அல்ல. அவரை வெளியில் இருந்து முதல்வர் ஆக்க விரும்புவர்கள் தமிழரை பிரித்து ஆழ விரும்புவோரும், அந்த ஏழை திட்டத்திற்ற்க்கு பணம் வாங்கி கொண்டு அடிவருடிகளாக செயல் படுவோருமாகவே இருப்பர்.
