இலங்கை அகதிகள் முகாமில் தங்கி தமிழகத்தில் கல்வி பயின்றவர்களுக்கு, இந்திய குடியுரிமை இல்லை என்பதால், தகுதி அடிப்படையில் மருத்துவம் படிக்க அனுமதி மறுக்கப்படுகிறது. உலகின் மனித உரிமைச் விழுமியங்களை அவமதிக்கும் வகையில் தமிழ் நாட்டில் ‘ஈழத் தாய்’ ஆட்சியில் மூன்று தசாப்தங்களாக நடைபெறும் அவமனம் இது.
ஈரோடு மாவட்டம் அரச்சலூர் இலங்கை அகதிகள் முகாமைச் சேர்ந்த ராஜா என்பவரது மகள் நந்தினி, இந்த ஆண்டு பிளஸ் 2 பொதுத்தேர்வில் 1170 மதிப்பெண் பெற்றுள்ளார். மருத்துவம் படிக்கும் தகுதிக்கும் அதிகமாகவே மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றிருந்தால் கலந்தாய்வில் பங்கேற்க விண்ணப்பித்தார்.
அவர் இலங்கை அகதிகள் முகாமைச் சேர்ந்தவர் என்பதால், இந்திய குடியுரிமை அவருக்கு இல்லை என்ற காரணத்தால் அவருக்கு கலந்தாய்வுக்கான அழைப்புக் கடிதம் அனுப்பப் படவில்லை என மருத்துவ கல்வி இயக்கக அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர்.
அங்கிருந்த அதிகாரிகள், “இலங்கை அகதிகள் முகாமில் வசிப்பதால், உங்களுக்கு இந்திய குடியுரிமை இல்லை. அதனால், விதிமுறைகளின்படி, நீங்கள் கலந்தாய்வில் பங்கேற்க முடியாது’ எனத் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். இதையடுத்து, இருவரும் ஈரோடு திரும்பினர்.
அகதிகள் சாமானிய மனிதர்களாகக்கூட மதிக்கப்படுவதில்லை என்பதற்கு இது சிறந்த உதாரணம். அதுவும் ஈழம் பிடித்துத்தருகிறோம் என்று வாக்குப்பொறுக்கும் தமிழ்நாட்டில் இது நடைபெறுகின்றது. தமிழ் நாட்டில் மூன்று தசாப்தங்களாகச் சிறைவைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் அகதிகளுக்காகன் தொடர்ச்சியான போராட்டங்கள் இன்று அவசியமானவை. உலகில் அகதிகள் அழிக்கப்படும் பொதுவான போக்கு உருவாகியுள்ள சூழலில் இப்போராட்டஙகள் புதிய நிலையை நோக்கி நகர்த்தப்பட வேண்டும்.
தமிழ் நாடு அரசின் திட்டமிட்ட ஒடுக்குமுறைகளுக்கு மத்தியில் தனிப்பட்ட திறமைகளால் இவர்களின் தேர்ச்சி அளவு வசதிபடைத்த மாணவர்களுக்கு இணையானதாக உள்ளது. ஆயினும் இறுதியில் விரும்பிய உயர்கல்வியைத் தொடர்வதற்கு அகதிகள் என்பதால் தடைகள் விதிக்கப்படுகின்றன.
குறித்த இட ஒதிகீடு அடிப்படையிலேயே மாணவர்கள் தெரிவு செய்யப்படுகின்றனர். கடந்த 84ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குப்பின் இலங்கை அகதிகளின் குழந்தைகளுக்கு மருத்துவத்தில் 20, பொறியியலில் 25, வேளாண்மை 10,பாலிடெக்னிக் 40, சட்டக் கல்லூரியில் 5 இடங்கள் என மாணவர் சேர்க்கைக்கு தமிழக அரசு ஒதிக்கீடு செய்ய உத்தரவிட்டது. இந்த அரசு ஆணையின் படி ஆண்டு தோறும் மாணவர் சேர்க்கை நடைமுறையில் உள்ளது.
இந்த பாரபட்சம் மனிதாபிமானத்திற்கு எதிரானது

For the request of TULF Late. Amirthalingam & PLOTE Late. Umamaheswaran reguest they allocated 20 Medical seats for Srilankan Tamil refugees.
That time Late. Aranganayakam was the Education Minister… Latte. Hande was the Health Minister… Kalimuthu was the Agriculture Minister…
And that time influence of Late. S. D. Somasundaram (S.D.S) not only got the quotas for our displaced students… Personally he helped so many ways in getting admissions for colleges… (Degree courses)
And with the influence of Late. Janarthanan’s Mother Late. Aranganayakam helped for so many students…
Then in Jayalalithaa Govt. they cancelled all quotas… Including Engineering… Dental… Agri… & Polytechnic admissions…
Now these politicians acting…. Hmm…
For an example from Thindukal refugee camp a person went to
India in his 5yrs with his family from Vavuniya, now finished B.Com Honours & doing a driving job for Oil mill truck & overnight he can’t stay out side…
This is the Tamil refugees status there now…
Like this girl, so many students positions there… With ambitions… But no hopes… Hmm…

This is a serious issue. As far as I know I am also a Sri Lankan Tamil and I did my graduation in Tamil Nadu in the year 1994-1997 at Trichy and I am working in Pacific at the moment. Although I didn’t apply through the refugee quota and I know very well the Government of Tamil Nadu did a marvelous job by offering a tertiary seat to the Sri Lankan Tamil refugee students. It was a great job and so many of us passed out of that scheme and doing very well abroad and working all over India and abroad. I guess that scheme must still exist and many of our kids are benefitting from it. I really cant understand why this happened to this kid who seems to be a genius of scoring 1170/1200. She needs all our support and we have to put pressure on the Tamil Nadu Government.
Besides that I have a point to make I will tell this girl “Never give up ” you seem to have the smartest brains and one day you will achieve all that you want in life. Lets be patient and be positive. God bless………..
