பத்து வருடங்களின் முன்னர் ஈ.பி.டி.பி கட்சியில் ஏற்பட்ட முரண்பாட்டின் காரணமாக அசோக் என்று அழைக்கப்பட்ட முருகேசு சந்திரகுமார் இலங்கையிலிருந்து பிரித்தானியா சென்று அரசியல் தஞ்சம் கோரினார். பிரித்தானியாவில் டக்ளஸ் தேவானந்தாவிற்கு எதிரான சிறிய கூட்டங்களை அவர் நடத்தினார். ஈ.பி.டி.பி இன் உட்கொலைகள் உட்படப் பல்வேறு குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களை முன்வைத்தார். தினமுரசு ஆசிரியர் அற்புதனின் கொலைக்கு டக்ளசே காரணம் என்றெல்லாம் கூறிவந்தார். சில வருடங்களின் பின்னர் மீண்டும் டக்ளஸ் தேவா தலைமையிலான ஈ.பி.டி.பி இல் வாக்குக் கேட்டு பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினராகும் நோக்குடன் சந்திரகுமார் இணைந்துகொண்டார்.
இனப்படுகொலை அரசின் நெருங்கின பங்காளியான டக்ளசுடன் இணைந்த சந்திரகுமார், அண்மையில் பாராளுமன்றத்தில் தெரிவித்த கருத்து தமிழ் இணையங்களில் வெளியாகின.
1983 யூலை மாதம் இடம்பெற்ற இன வன்முறைகளே நாட்டை மிகப் பெரிய அழிவுக்கும், மாபெரும் துன்பியலுக்கும் இட்டுச்சென்றது என்று பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினரும், பாராளுமன்றக் குழுக்களின் பிரதித் தலைவருமான முருகேசு சந்திரகுமார் தெரிவித்தார்.

முப்பது வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு நடந்தவொரு கண்ணிவெடித் தாக்குதலினால் 13 படையினர் பலியானதை ஒரு சாட்டாக வைத்துக்கொண்டு திட்டமிட்டு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட யூலை இன வன்முறைகள், இலங்கையில் சிறுபான்மைச் சமூகங்களின் மனதில் பெரும் இடைவெளியையும் அரசின் மீது நம்பிக்கை இழப்பையும் ஏற்படுத்தின. இந்த இடைவெளி இன்னமும் நிரப்பப்படாமல் இருப்பதுதான் மிகவும் கவலைக்குரியது என்று அவர் கூறியுள்ளார்.
இலங்கை அரசின் ஒற்றையாட்சிச் சட்ட எல்லைக்குள் குறைந்தபட்ச மாற்றங்களைக் கூட ஏற்படுத்த இயலாது என்பது சந்திரகுமாருக்குத் தெரியதாதல்ல. இதுவரை வாக்குப் பொறுக்குவதற்குக் கூட உலகைன் கோரமான இனக்கொலையாளிகளுடன் ஒட்டிக்கொண்ட டக்ளஸின் கட்சியில் மாற்றங்கள் எதைனையும் ஏற்படுத்த இயலாது என்பதும் சந்திரகுமாருக்குத் தெரியாததல்ல.
இந்த நிலையில் டக்ளஸ்- சந்திரகுமார் இடையே பிளவு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாக சில இணையச் செய்திகள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. நீண்ட கறைபடிந்த வரலாற்றைக்கொண்ட ஈ.பி.டி.பி ஐக் கலைப்பதற்கான பிளவாக இது அமையுமானால் தமிழ்ப் பேசும் மக்களின் முன்னோக்கிய பயணத்தில் ஒரு தடைக்கல் அகன்றதாகக் கருதலாம்.
இனிமேலும் மக்களின் அவலங்கள் மீது வாக்குப் பொறுக்கும் சந்திரகுமாரோ, மக்களைப் பலியெடுக்கத் துணைசெல்லும் டக்ளசோ எமக்குத் தேவையற்றவர்கள்.

I agree with your comments about TNA MPs. But do not say Kilinochcii was developed by Chandrakumar. The credit for Developments in the north and east goes to Rajapakse. It was not development but colonization by the Sinahlease. Do you know filling stations licence along A9 were all given to Non Tamils. This is what shall be the concern of MPs. Not only Chandrakumar, no Tamil MP can stop this.

Yes, MPs’ are legislators… But, they are in the parliament & from the parliament they decide everything… Without them there is no developing….
MPs’ are the Ministers… Under each Ministry they decide & allocate funds for developing…

The vacuum that was created by LTTE cannot be filled by TNA or Kajan Ponnampalam. Douglas is a pioneer who had foreign guerrilla training in his early twenties in 1978 and wanted to be a lieutenant to Padmanaaba EPRLF leader who caused the division in EROs. However, intolerant leadership of EPRLF had him removed and Suresh Premachandran who gallantly trained and fought abroad took over Douglas’s responsibility. After mob violence in Choolaimedu, EPDP and its leaders were penalised severely and Doug was chained even in hospital bed. This was when Doug decided to leave Indian shore for good and went home. BUT WHAT LTTE DID TO EPDP INCLUDING DOUGLAS’s own brother is recorded history. They were made to dig their own graves and choose their fate…..It is a crime that Tamil people quietly detested. begged LTTE to stop fratricidal warfare…Sent delegation to speak to LTTE…..But the killings never came to an end. Late President Premadasa offered that safety to EPDP. Don’t blame EPDP only – Every organisation including LTTE has received such help from this guy. The organisation who choose to die by LTTE bullets rather than surrendering to Army in 1986 changed their stance under Adaikalanathan. The proxy war was at its height was dwindling the war machinery and soon transformed the paramilitary politics to parliamentary politics. When everyone thought all were coming to an end when LTTE exterminated all TNA(Tamil National Army) forces with their hands tied behind (during IPKF depeature. And those who wanted to join LTTE to continue the struggle also were eliminated by Pro-Indian outfits like TELO and ENDLF. On final days the assaults against Muslims were Crimes against humanity. The mass-murder of surrendered Sinhala Police officers by Minister Muralitharan and buried unceremoniously in the shallow graves and their exhumation to are practices that has to be examined. These are background history that formed and forged EPDP. It will continue to reflect such politics. If Federal Party can provide base for the rehabilitation of Madayan group leader Suresh and Narcotics dealer Adaikalanathan, Douglas and Chandrakumar would do much better contribution with their new acquired experience to legislate and develop NE province. We don’t have to sacrifice leaders because they served Tamils from other side of the divide,
