அணுமின் நிலையத்தை மூட வலியுறுத்தி நாகர்கோவிலில் நடந்த ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் பல்வேறு கிராமங்களில் இருந்து ஏராளமானோர் பங்கேற்றனர். மேற்கு நாடுகளில் அணுமின் நிலயங்கள் மக்கள் குடியிருப்புகளுக்கு அண்மையில் அமைக்கபடுவதில்லை. அதே மேற்கு நாடுகளின் பன்னாட்டு நிறுவனங்களின் கொள்ளைக்காக தனது சொந்த மக்கள் குடியிருக்கும் பகுதிகளில் இந்திய அரசு அணு மின் நிலையத்தை அமைப்பது பகற் கொள்ளை. கூடங்குளம் அணுமின் நிலையத்தை மூட வேண்டும் என்பதை வலியுறுத்தி இடிந்தகரையில் கிராம மக்கள் தொடர்ந்து போராட்டங்களை நடத்தி வருகிறார்கள். இதே கோரிக்கையை வலியுறுத்தி குமரி மாவட்டத்திலும் போராட்டங்கள் தொடங்கி உள்ளன. அணு உலைக்கு எதிரான மக்கள் இயக்கம் சார்பில் தொடர் போராட்டங்கள் நடத்த முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. நேற்று கடலோர கிராம மக்களை ஒன்று திரட்டி, நாகர்கோவில் நாகராஜா திடலில் பெருந்திரள் ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடந்தது. குமரி மாவட்டம் முழுவதும் உள்ள மீனவ கிராமங்களில் இருந்து ஏராளமான ஆண்கள் மற்றும் பெண்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். கூடங்குளம் போராட்ட மக்கள் குழு அமைப்பாளர் உதயகுமார் பேசியதாவது: கூடங்குளம் அணுமின் நிலையத்துக்கு எதிராக கடந்த 2 மாதங்களுக்கு மேல் போராட்டம் நடந்து வருகிறது. காசு வாங்கிக் கொண்டு போராட்டம் நடத்துவதாக கூறுகிறார்கள். இந்த போராட்டத்தின் பின்னணியில் காசு வாங்கி இருக்கிறோம் என்று மத்திய அரசு நிரூபித்தால், இதே போல் மக்களை திரட்டி தீக்குளிப்பேன். இந்த போராட்டம் தொடங்கிய நாளில் இருந்து மிரட்டுகிறார்கள். ஆனால் மிரட்டலுக்கு அஞ்ச மாட்டோம். கூடங்குளம் அணுமின் நிலையத்தை மூடும் வரை போராட்டம் தொடரும். இவ்வாறு உதயகுமார் கூறினார்.
while it looks sympathetic to understand the public feelings about the koodankulam reactor and the consequences following the the holocaust to be met out by – perhaps assuming that it will also have a meltdown i strongly feel that anti nuclear groups have escalated this crisis with the local church which does not have concern for science and technology.the koodankulam reactor is built safe and no malady can be traced upon.no tragedy after CHERNOBYL is marked about as nuclear tragedy.there are stories about the FUKUSHIMA plant that learned persons can understand that nothing has happened in FUKUSHIMA and people have never been evacuated around 150 kilometers.this is the slogan made by a community and intellectuals who don’t want to have science in framing their philosophy but at the same time don’t want to compromise on their living without having science products.Tamil Nadu and India need power and k reactor is only meant for corporates is a bluff. should not rich men live in India?they also form part of this nation and we a re living in a democracy which should only think about the poor is not a valid point. i know some Tamil intellectuals and writers are bringing in new stories that the volcanoes are found near k reactor under sea.! these types of stories and phobias have helped some fundamentalist groups and some intellectuals who die for selling their theories have confused the public.
the k reactor is safe.it will not be affected by natural disaster.in European countries people are living near the reactors and it has not spoilt flora and fauna.alternative energy is good but for an Indian population will it be sufficient?those who are at alternative energy should construct a model village with aa alternative energy, no cell phones, no fans , no fridges , no in organic vegetation , no bikes and no mikes!i am ready to join that band, imagine how the Berlin wall has been decimated. the communist party of India is reasonable in its stand and are asking for revisions and operation of the k reactor.the superstitious move ment against k reactor will soon end up and people will realise value of scientific products in transforming lives.
